"For years, teens told us (the Network for Family Life Education) that their sex ed classes were "too little, too late," their parents didn't talk to them about sex and they were left on their own to figure out all this confusing stuff.

They also said they'd like to read about stuff like love, sex, relationships, HIV/AIDS, violence and other issues, especially if teens wrote those stories.

In 1994, with the help of two health educators and a professional journalist, we launched SEX, ETC., a sexuality and health newsletter written by teens for teens."
