Risky Business On The Web

A new report by the Medical & Health Research Association of New York City says that 84% of nearly 3,000 men responding to an online survey on the Web site gay.com indicated that they met their partners online and about two-thirds acknowledge that they recently engaged in unprotected risky behavior. Sabina Hirshfield, who directed the study, said the Internet is a new venue associated with high-risk behavior: "It is a quick and easy way to meet partners." (AP/USA Today 12 Feb 2003)
